I let them do the grille, plaster ceiling, electrical work and skirting.

The rest I get outside vendor.

My concern now is about the Air-cond installation price. Inverter Air-cond installation is RM 790/unit including wall hacking and concealation. (Outside price is RM 260/unit for 10 ft piping and not including concealation)

Dunno what to do with the air-cond installation... it seems to be soooooo expensive. :-(

If we let them do the grills, plaster ceiling and floor skirting & at the same time we also engage our own contractors to do some other stuffs like kitchen/cabinet/electrical wiring and etc.., do we still need to pay for the rubbish fees & 3K deposit for renovation?

Dear home owners,
Oasis's in house contractor is way too much. No only that they charge sky high price, they also stop all real estate agents from entering into the building.
They are gangsters! you all should make police reports and fight for your rights. Who gave them the authority to station in there?
The same problem happend before in D piazza and Central Park. After many complaints and police reports, eventually in house contractor was terminated.

well, its not true! it happended in central park before and the police arrested them and boot them out.

they moved to Oasis and think that they can strong arm the owners to do the renovation by them.

Why nusmetro management allowed some owner extend to use the common area that is not belong to the house owner see below. That is common area that belong to OASIS residence, not the owner of that floor. If nusmetro are not capable to manage please pass it to residence.

Next time have to very careful on Nusmetro project, fortunately not purchase Arte S after see so much issues on OASIS, cement and sand have to buy from in house contractor la, sampah fees 1K la, this is colony relationship, some owner in 31 floor can extend the corridor to 6ft height to block resident for accessing the common area.
Who have good contact with Nusmetro boss, he/she will get good benefit and the other purchasers have to suffer the pain.

Nusmetro is cooperated with the SRE contractor to monoply the reno jobs. Just wonder this only happened in Penang, not at other state. I lived in KL for few years, never heard about this.

1) Most of the wall crack after they hack the wall, door frame also crack.

2) Most of the 2"x2" tiles near the entrance and door frame scratch and break, because they pull the sand from outside until your hall.

3) Water output pipe (in kitchen and balcony) all stucked with cement.

4) All toilet tiles covered by cement, because they use your toilet to wash their cement tank, even your toilet bowl gone, scratch and very dirty. You will see the scratch after you wash it.

3) Most of the grille install unequal.

4) All 3 rooms floor seriously scratch after they doing the wiring.

5) Air-cond installation work is not acceptable at all.

6) Some of the new kitchen tile is crack on the corner.

7) They are assume the kitchen area is same like the toilet and purposely make the floor tile a little bit slide one side for letting the watter flow to the pipe hole in the kitchen.
Come on, where got water flow on the kitchen floor, unless the owner "xiao liao" and make extra toilet in the kitchen and use it together.

Remarks : Like now the renovation ppl claimed that the tiles crack and scratch is under defect and not done by them, ask you to get the defect contractor to do.

The defect contractor also check on your defect list submit earlier, if you didn't mention/you miss out to claim/fill in the defect list. Habis..lah.

Note : For those just start/going to start renovation, pls take photo for all 2"x2" tiles every corner in your home.

This is a terrible and sad news to hear. Did you complaint seriously to the in-house contractor and ask for compensation? If not, then all other units which are going to renovate under them will face the same consequences. Give them so much $ to renovate compared to external contractor also producing such lousy quality. Really absurd...For those who have paid for in-house renovation or those doing now, i think it's better to talk directly to the contractor boss and tell him in advance

Alvin, i do not agree with your comments. but, you have your own right to choose your contractor.
Just pay with 50% higher than the others choose outside contractor. Furthermore, some of their contractors workmanship is very bad.
Here, i also cannot say you are "chicken". This is your right.

Terms and condition for oasis condo, just buy sand and cement ( not much money), pay little rubbish collection (less than rm 200), call nusmetro site manager mr rasydan (019-4210966) to assis you , direct deal with boss of gangster contractor mr Nordin (019-4228774). The main con is repairing the defect since march, they target to complete by June, they actually is action. The main con is wabina construction and engineering .

For those who wanted to install Streamyx/Unifi, was told by TM point that the more applications will speed up the installation of "Infra" - a type of port which is expensive and need approval from top TM management before they can purchase this equipment and install it there. The Pulse and 1 World which have obtained OC for so long already are still waiting for installation. Therefore, owners who wish to stay there in future but not yet started reno can now start to apply for Streamyx/Unifi beginning now as I think it might take some time till the port is installed there
