Local celebrities to add fanfare at unveiling of apartment’s second tower

Fans of artistes Z-Chen, ThomasJack and Chezi will have a chance to meet their idols at the launch of the second tower of Eastern and Oriental (E&O) Bhd’s first executive apartments, The Tamarind in Penang.
The local singers will be appearing in a mini concert at the event themed, The Tamarind – My Melody Christmas Garden Party, tomorrow at the E&O Sales Gallery in Seri Tanjung Pinang.
Z-Chen, dubbed the R&B prince, is known for his chart-topping number, May I Love You. Multi-talented duo ThomasJack have launched a few albums already besides dabbling in acting.
Also sharing the stage for the mini concert from 6pm to 8pm is Chezi, a contender in the popular Taiwanese talent show, Top Million Star.
Fans and the crowd will get to play games and have a photo opportunity with the artistes as well as receive mystery Christmas gifts.
Joining forces with E&O for the launch are leading local Chinese radio stations, MyFM and Melody FM, which will broadcast the event live from noon to 2pm, and 2pm to 4pm, respectively.
To liven up the launch party, popular announcers from both radio stations like MyFM’s Catherine, Yoon and Peace, as well as Melody FM’s Chun Pin and Amelyn, will be present to meet their followers.
E&O has also lined up attractive lucky draw prizes for guests, with a total of 60 free stay vouchers at Lone Pine Hotel in Batu Ferringhi worth over RM40,000 up for grabs.
The top two prizes are three-night stays each at the beachfront boutique hotel while the two second prizes are for two-night stays each. There are also 50 consolation prizes of a one-night stay at the same hotel.
The Tamarind is a 6.9acre freehold high-rise development with an estimated gross development value of RM900mil. It features two 33-storey blocks, containing 1,104 units.
Typical 3-bedroom and 2-bathroom units start from 1,047sq ft.
The project also marks the maiden partnership between E&O and renowned home furnishing specialist, IKEA, which had provided interior design and furnishings for the show unit.
E&O marketing and sales general manager (Penang) Christina Lau said the pricing from RM660 per sq ft was a good entry price for young professionals or new homeowners.
“Backed by the success of our first tower, this second tower of The Tamarind is already recording positive buyer interest,” she said.
