What dreams are made of

Wellness and luxury will be the way of life at City of Dreams located between Bandar Tanjung Pinang and the Gurney Drive roundabout in northeastern Penang.

The 20.2ha project, developed by Ewein Zenith Sdn Bhd and marketed by Zeon Properties Sdn Bhd, comprises two 40-storey residential towers housing 572 serviced apartments.

The sea-facing units range in size from 1,100sq ft to 2,350sq ft, each served by two private lifts. They go at RM1,500 psf onwards, for prices between RM1.65mil and RM5mil.

Set for completion around 2020, the city redefines the concept of high-living with over 70 world-class facilities, features and technologies.

This includes three levels of facilities covering some 120,000sq ft – like a two-lane bowling alley, private cinema, golf simulator, putting green, karaoke centre, barbecue pits and grand ballroom.

There are three swimming pools – an Olympic size outdoor infinity pool facing Gurney Drive, and two covered ones for dips in hot weather. Complementing that is a 2,500sq ft sauna and steam room.

The City of Dreams has mobile apps for both Android and iOS, which allow residents to easily book facilities or services, communicate internally or be notified when there is mail delivered.

Thus, whether one needs to reserve the bowling lanes or book a private chef for dinner, everything is just a few taps of the screen away.

This also applies to the Rolls Royce stationed on site, and a yacht berthed at Straits Quay, which are available for residents to charter.

The development will also meet green building standards with solar power and rain water harvesting systems, trash separation, and food waste management that generates compost for landscaping.

Among other feature are an on-site car wash machine, eight-tier security system and an access road lined with flowering trees.

Despite all that, maintenance fees are expected to be around only 30 sen psf.

When all units are sold, there will also be a lucky draw for buyers, offering the top prize of a Ferrari. Foreign buyers will be eligible for MM2H.

The development was recently crowned champion of Entry Point Project 10 for Wellness Resorts, under the country’s Economic Transformation Programme.
