The soaring ‘sky sculpture’ of Arte-S in Bukit Gambier in Penang, when complete, will be an architectural marvel.
The pair of 29- and 46-storey towers by Nusmetro City Sdn Bhd, located on a 2.5-acre site, boast unique spiralling lines that create visual spectacles from every angle.
Achieved through the ingenious use of elliptical floor plates and waveform ledges, the facade’s varying profile evokes patterns left in sand when ocean waves recede.
This also ensures that views, whether of the sea, town or surrounding hillside, are slightly different from each of the 480 units.
