New feel to modern living

Tropicana 218 Macalister, the flagship project of Tropicana Macalister Arena (Penang) Sdn Bhd, will define a new meaning to luxury right in the heart of George Town when it is completed in 2018.

Built on 2.1 acres of freehold land, the project is set to change the urban skyline of Penang with its award-winning style of Neo designer suites and a wide selection of boutique retail lots including an international brand hotel (Courtyard by Marriot) with 208 rooms.

Tropicana Corp Berhad sales and marketing manager Amanda Lee said the project was part of a luxurious integrated development which would have ultra-modern designs and facilities and yet blend well with the cultural heritage of George Town.

Tower T of Tropicana 218 Macalister consists of 71 designer Neo Suites and 88 serviced residences which offer picturesque sea and city views with dedicated modern facilities.

“This includes an aqua gym, infinity pool, Jacuzzi pool, park, rock-climbing area, barbecue area, multipurpose hall and open air dining area and a sky lounge,” said Lee.

Children can choose to run in the playground or for those who are more active can take on the children’s rock climbing wall.

Residents can unwind by taking a dip at the swimming pool, laze by the open pool deck or enjoy the Jacuzzi. There is also a reflexology path to improve one’s blood circulation and a pocket garden.

Alternatively, residents can also sweat it out at the gymnasium. The facilities are all within easy reach at the facilities deck at level 11.

The size of the Neo Suites in Tower T and 140 Neo Suites in Tower M range from 378sq ft to 1,312sq ft and are priced at RM1,000 per sq ft.

Lee said 90% of the serviced residences had been sold out.

Besides having Malaysia’s first Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, Tropicana 218 Macalister is also just a few metres away from popular hawker sites in Macalister Road, New Lane and Komtar.

Its close proximity to landmarks like major shopping malls, medical centres, international schools and other public facilities close at hand makes its an attractive buy.

Lee said Tropicana 218 Macalister with a gross development value of RM320mil brings the housing industry new investment choices for both consumer and investors and adds a higher quality of life to residents in the area.

The project is part of Tropicana Corp Berhad’s sterling efforts to transform the area into a vibrant commercial and residential address in Penang.

The company’s other project, Penang WorldCity, which is a sea-fronting development at Bayan Mutiara in Bayan Lepas, is poised to become an international gateway for foreign tourists and investors to Penang.

Consisting of residential condominiums, office suites, retail units and SOHO, the project not only offers high-quality and desirable products, but also reinvigorates the surrounding areas. - By The Star
