The state government wants the Federal Government to confirm the location of its PR1MA housing project in Penang.
‘We would like to know the status of the project so that we can monitor and help expedite the project.
“Although it is a Federal Government low medium-cost housing project, it still has to obtain the necessary state approvals,” said Penang Town and Country Planning and Housing Committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo.
“I have written to Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan because an official response is necessary for the state to offer cooperation,” he said during a press conference in Sungai Ara, Penang, recently.
He said that the state government had done its duty with eight affordable housing projects on the island and mainland, which would provide 22,197 houses to people from lower income group. - By The Star
