I am just cannot understand despite of the housing bubble happened in US & UK recently, property in Penang island is still maintained at the same level as of 2007 peak time. May be there are some promotion such as free S&P, stamp duty etc, but, this is only confine to new development. The old house is still selling at very high price. Sounds like Penang people are quite cash rich !!??
Some readers in this forum even saying, Penang terrace house is going to be 1M in no time once the recession is over. Land becomes very scarce and limited especially along the east coast area. I think the development of PORR got to starts as it will bring those people who live in Paya Terupong and Balik Pulau closer to the eastern side. This will spur the economy and even to the extend more factories will move to Balik Pulau and Paya Terupong too. This will cool off the hike of property price in the east coast area. Then, we will see a more well balance development for the entire Penang island. Let's look forward to this happen in years to come.

I am just cannot understand despite of the housing bubble happened in US & UK recently, property in Penang island is still maintained at the same level as of 2007 peak time. May be there are some promotion such as free S&P, stamp duty etc, but, this is only confine to new development. The old house is still selling at very high price. Sounds like Penang people are quite cash rich !!??
Some readers in this forum even saying, Penang terrace house is going to be 1M in no time once the recession is over. Land becomes very scarce and limited especially along the east coast area. I think the development of PORR got to starts as it will bring those people who live in Paya Terupong and Balik Pulau closer to the eastern side. This will spur the economy and even to the extend more factories will move to Balik Pulau and Paya Terupong too. This will cool off the hike of property price in the east coast area. Then, we will see a more well balance development for the entire Penang island. Let's look forward to this happen in years to come.
On the terrace house price. That is very very True. On getting a balance on the geographical development then thats a bit of a problem.
